Hi! I'm a newbie at this forum. I'm a guzheng, yangqin and duxianqin player from Singapore. Anyone know how to publish music that one has composed?

Hello Acsco! Welcome to our forum. I am afraid that I don't know how you could get music published, particularly in Asia. Perhaps you could contact music publishers and ask them. I am glad to meet another monochord player. I play the Vietnamese dan bau, which I understand is very similar to the duxianqin. I play one Chinese tune, Liu San Jie on monochord. home.comcast.net/~davidmdahl/liusanjie.mp3Sorry for the poor sound quality. I will rerecord in the near future. Best wishes, David

Wow, this sounds really, really great. Great tone, great musicality, and I like the vibrato and ornamentation. Somehow, the style makes it sound a lot like lap steel guitar to me. Watch out, Campbell Brothers!

Watch out, Campbell Brothers! Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words. I enjoyed learning that tune from my erhu teacher and hope to find other Chinese tunes that work well on monochord. Best wishes, David
