Can you be more specific? What exactly about the notation has you confused?
Best wishes,
David

;DSorry for not being specific enough, I'm mostly confused by the misc. lines everywhere like above the notes. But a whole explanation on how you would read it and play it would be good too. If its too much trouble then forget about it Ill find out some other way. ;D
~Thanks

Buy an instructional VCD on eBay - this will help you much more than asking a lot of separate questions in this forum. You may try the one from Yuan Sha. It is offered frequently on eBay. I did this myself before I found a teacher.

You should see about contacting my good friends at CADENZA Creative online at: cadenzamusic.biz/index.htmRequest to purchace the "guide to learning part 1 -- the art of guzheng". It is a really great book containing english and chinese. A super learning tool and it covers a lot of techniques including what I think you are asking above about the misc. lines above each note.

You can try downloading th playing method table: www.chinesezither.net/technique.htmlThis contains English explanation of most of the symbols. General, the right hand technique is written above the music note, and left hand technique is written under the music note.

Thank-you every one you were all very helpful but I dont think that I will buy any books before I get a guzheng, I will probably wait until Christmas time since I can't really afford one myself but I will get it for Christmas no matter what. I don't know if I can wait that long. ;D Thanks again
