When I bought my guzheng my teacher said that it had pearl inlay in it and wood carving. It's design is 2 phonixes rising to the sun. Btw, pearl inlay? I dun understand I'm only 13 >_>

Hey Bryan,
Pearl inlay is where they carve into a piece of wood, for example they care the shape of a butterfly then, in its place they then carve a butterfly out of a sheet of mother of pearl (beautiful shells from the deep sea) and then press it into the carved wood with some glue. Then they paint a clear coat of lacqor over it and make it all shiny.. That is a peral inlay.
