How often do you change your dizi's membrane, or after how much blowing time do you change it?

a well picked membrane lasts up to 2 weeks if u play daily. The imporetant thing is NOT to have any moisture hit the surfave of the membrane, where its covering the hole.
its lasts longer that way.

Thanks Are there any "symptoms" to look out for when the membrane needs changing? Like the sound getting a bit dull or something like that?

Hi!
I did a brief survey of my students and friends.
Time to change? When all the lines have dissapear, when the di mo has turned moist, or even when u just feel that the sound gets dull.

Ahh.. I change the dimo pretty soon when it has gotten moist, which happens sometimes since I have to play in a pretty cold room (winter time..) in order not to disturb others, I can feel the sound go dull pretty quickly when the membrane is wet.
the lines have disapear, hmm.. I usually loosen the membrane slightly.. sometimes works to prolong its life.. Thanks!
