So, I'm at a kinda awkward stage. I can definitely do vibrato. But, its not the powerful, expressive, rolling vibrato you'll hear professionals using. So my question is, how do I get there ? How to improve my vibrato ?

So, I'm at a kinda awkward stage. I can definitely do vibrato. But, its not the powerful, expressive, rolling vibrato you'll hear professionals using. So my question is, how do I get there ? How to improve my vibrato ? The rolling vibrato is a mixture of both finger, wrist, and palm movement. What my teacher told me is that the vibrato should move at a much farther range than a small ranged one, to increase the quality of the sound. The fingertip should be "rolling" against the strings. Practice vibrato with long bowing or quick bowing(to get vibrato at short notes). Use the third finger to help aid the pinky in vibrato. There are multiple videos about it online, both in English and Chinese. In Chinese, it's called rouxian...(柔弦)
