Someone recommended "Ba ban" as a good beginner piece. Hope I didn't butcher the name too much. Any chance there is a copy of this in printed form, or an mp3, out in the wonderful world of the interweb?
If not, hows about a recording source?

I found a version of Baban that might help. Search via Google.com on the string "STRUCTURAL PRINCIPLES OF A CHINESE FOLK TUNE" with the quotes. The resulting entry should be a PDF file. On page four of this file you will find a score to Baban (Eight Beats). You will need to transpose this score to a version playable on a pipa.
I will let you know if I find a more useful version or a MP3.
