Hey guys, i'm new to this forum as I am also new to playing the hulusi. I purchased a F hulusi (love the deeper sounds) off Ebay and a few weeks after it arrived (played great at first) it started sounding really farty and distorted. I inquired with the seller I purchased from, he recommended I "flick" the reed, even provided a video. But upon "flicking", I "flicked" the reed right off. So I've now purchased a new reed from Red music shop but I am having a heck of a time gluing the new reed to the hulusi.. Does any one know how to do this properly? Silly me thinking I can not only teach myself how to play this really unique instrument, but that I can repair it also... lol
Thanks and I look forward to reading responses!

Hi pinkhouse and welcome. The reed can be changed quite easily: I use white pvc glue and apply sparingly with a matchstick. Try not to touch the reed with your fingers. DO NOT USE SUPERGLUE.
Best wishes, Ed
