I have C and D key dizis, and want to try an inexpensive E key Dizi. Is this Dizi good enough to play with it for a while ? Can we produce reasonably good high octave sounds ? It is mentioned “Key of F” in the title, and “ Key E” in item specifics of Ebay. Do you know this is Key E or Key F ? Thank you

These flutes come from a collective and are reasonably good for the modest price. When you mention "reasonably good high octave sounds", do you mean the 2nd octave or the even higher 3rd register?

Thank you, dawei I means 2nd octave. I don’t think I will practice 3rd octave in near future. I just had response from the seller. It was F-key. Therefore, I don’t need it. Any way, thank you very much.

I can produce sounds, but can’t produce rich sounds at the higher part of the 2 nd octave yet with my professional grade Dizi. Is it normal ?

Yes, it takes time to get a good tone on the higher notes. Make sure your dimo is well adjusted too, if it is too loose those notes are harder to hit. Of course the dimo is too tight, you don't get a good buzzy tone, and make sure you have the wrinkles in the membrane. Playing long tones on the lower notes will strengthen your embouchure and improve the tone on the upper pitches too.
