My lodgings is situated between two nightclubs which pump out dance music until the early hours; so I find it curious that my neighbours complain (within seconds) of my dizi playing at 10.45 in the morning.
It's a low G so it hardly loud. I'm also sharing a room with a colleague so I can't practise indoors. The only real opportunity of practising is out on the sea front but this attracts tourists. Practising and playing are two different things. I prefer to practise in the evening and back at home in London, with it's tiny houses, this is also a no-no.
When and where do you practise your instruments?

Some regions of Mykonos have dense housing. Some regions look pretty remote, but without shades. The Mediterranean sun can be harsh on one's instruments. Looks like it's best to practice at night in a remote area. picture 219 by AllenTChang, on Flickr picture 210 by AllenTChang, on Flickr

The top photo is much like where I live except mine is even more pretty, with crowds of tourists taking photos (or me playing on the steps). There is a "colliseum" where I used to practise, but there's no money there.
