Hello, after living in China for a couple of years I became most interested in Chinese instruments and brought home a Gu Zheng and an antique pipa. The pipa was in need of some restoration but a friend mishandled it and broke its neck near the body! I think I can manage that repair but it also needs some of the non-raised frets replacing (they are missing) so really I wanted to know if anyone can tell me if they can be sourced or self-made. many thanks in advance steve

Anybody?! If nobody here knows, I'm not optimistic about finding this information!

Welcome to the forum, Steve. You may be able to order pipa frets from Eason Music in Singapore. A local guitar maker or luthier might be able to help you as well, although the cost may exceed the value of the pipa.
Best wishes,
David
