im having trouble holding a any note longer than 7 ticks on a 60 bpm metronome. when i change notes its a bit less. i am still working on my embouchure, but i feel that when i do a smaller stream of air i cant play any lower octave notes. would you say i just need more practice, (only had it for about 2 weeks, and never played a woodwind instrument and dont swim regularly). my mouth hole when blowing is quite small, smaller than the picture on the other embouchure question.

Hi Anthony, from your other thread even your second embouchure is still too large; imagine spitting a grain of rice, that's how small your embouchure should be. For the lower octaves you should aim to blow roughly 45 degrees downwards.
If you hear a whushing sound it means most of the air is not entering the dizi.
