So there's this kid who I babysit, and he is a HUGE fan of Pokemon (oh, the nostalgia). We watched Pokemon 2000: The Power of One on my computer the other night. He knows I play (or rather, am learning to play) the dizi, and he asked me if I knew how to play the song from the movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG57tjQTtBY), Lugia's Song (it's also known as Song of the Guardian or The Guardian's Song or things like that). I said I didn't. Now he wants me to learn how to play it. I have nothing against that (I get to relive my childhood a little, nothing wrong with that). The problem is, I'm having a hard time converting the Western notation to Jianpu (stupid accidentals...still figuring out how to play them). I can play the first three notes, and I can't get past that. I have a C-key dizi. I also have a G-key, but the C-key is easier for me to play and it's what I play more.
Here's the music in western notation: www.jianpuw.com/htm/q4/68190.htmI'm pretty sure there's more, but whoever uploaded it only put up the first page. It sounds pretty much the same until the end.

I emailed my rendering of Lugia's Song directly to Halle to save me the trouble of loading it to a website to link in a post. If anyone wants to see it, let me know and I will get it loaded.
Best wishes,
David

David, could I also have the jianpu notation for this song? I have been looking for it everywhere!

I will look for the score, mikidizi, but it has been a year and a half since I wrote it out.
Best wishes,
David

Here is a photo of the jianpu written in on a staff score of Lugia's Song. Let me know if you have any questions. Best wishes, David
