Hi all, I started a new website where I compile and create resources for Pipa learning in English. I want to get the word out and make sure as many Pipa learners out there benefit from it. Feedback is welcome. pipalearning.tumblr.com/Thank you! On a different note, I also teach Pipa in Austin TX, if anyone is interested.

Welcome to the forum. Is there something we can call you other than a1424344454, such as Ms. Pipa?
I checked out your website, and it appears you have a good start.
I hope that you will participate in the forum. There are a few who play pipa, although this topic has been quiet for quite a while.
Best wishes,
David

Thank you very much for taking the initiative, time, and effort to create a website dedicated to helping beginning pipa players. This is just what the small community of us needs. ;D

You teach pipa in Austin, TX? I am only 90 miles south of you, in San Antonio! I have been learning pipa almost a year now.

Gao Hong has written an extensive Pipa Method book in English - the first of its kind. It will be published through Hal Leonard this June and is already available for pre-order though Amazon.com. It comes wit a DVD showing the playing techniques and many scores. It is suitable for Beginners through Intermediate levels and also has a very valuable section for composers.
