I have just watched your chun feng.
Does anyboby, like me , feel the tune has a persian / arabic sound. You will probably tell me its and ancient chinese melody but it did not strike me as one.
Sounds great though - how hard would you say it is comapred to guan shan yue and tune for a pleasant evening

Chun Feng is a composition by Gong Yi and Xu Guohua in the 1980s. It does have Persian and Arabic influences.
It is more harder than those melodies! Grade 10 piece (if I remember correctly) from that thingy. But I'd rate it as a Grade 8 piece myself as it isn't 'really' that difficult. There are certain bits that are very difficult (there is two phrases which stump me, you may notice it from the recording), but overall, it is simple (as long as you get the technqiues correct).

I'm guessing what you mean by 'Persian/Arabic' = Uighur.
