I bought my qipao from this website: www.chineseclothingonline.com/They became quite expensive (I got my qipao with 40% off, really a bargain for a piece of cloth which suits me so well). For women they have a great choice. Let me now what you think about collection for men!

You can see it on the video of me playing with my Chinese friend. I put a black and white picture. The qipao is short, black with some braun embroderies on it. Here is the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQo9bXp5DcQHope to see you soon with your Jackie Chan tunique!

Roll my eyes . . . . . at the end of the day just be yourself. If you see me not wearing a flannel shirt, then there's something wrong . . . . . . . . (unless you spot me wearing a T-shirt with a Chinese character such as 論 on my back to express a thought). Too many people wearing flannel shirts in East Asia these days . . . . . . . . .

As much as I like playing the dizi and the xiao, I would not resort to going this far in terms of clothing and appearance: www.rileylee.net/index.htmlNor would I necessarily make sure we would all be eating bento lunchboxes in a shakuhachi conference just because a shakuhachi is a Japanese instrument.

Flo, that is just you! So much so I had difficulty in distinguishing between the two musicians. If I remember rightly there is a tragic story behind the tune 'Autumn mediation at the dressing table' I'd be grateful if you could send me the score please. Being born and raised in the Uk I miss Chinese arts and culture. When I performed at my children's Chinese school, I hoped at least one kid would take an interest and perhaps take up a Chinese instrument.

You can find the score following this link: www.sooopu.com/html/46/46065.html. In the video I play it with the C dizi, but it's actually written for low G or low F. Because of this piece I wanted to try the low G. Enjoy this beautiful piece!

If you click it doesn't work, but if you copy the link in your browser it's OK. I don't know why it is so, but the link is the right one!

The link works fine without the period at the end. Just copy the URL and paste it into your browser. Here is the link without the period: www.sooopu.com/html/46/46065.htmlBest wishes, David

Yes, Ed, I used the same score when I made this video. I only had some notes to "fill" the part where the guzheng is playing alone, but I'm not happy with this small improvisation. I'll try to write down something better.
