The dan bau player in the recording of Beo Dat May Troi is Thanh Tam (NSUT Thanh Tâm), probably the most recorded dan bau player that resides in Vietnam. Her recordings are well worth finding. As I recall, most or all of the arrangements are of the "neo-traditional" variety, without synthesizers or pop rhythm.
The original setting for Quan Ho songs is totally vocal, without any accompaniment. Many of them translate well to instrumental solos, and some are among the most popular of Vietnamese music.
