Hi all I have been having problem with movement of my erhu.. Keeping it Sturdy as I play.. Think of getting something to hook into my pants or belt.. Do these work? Which one is Better?

I thought those were mostly for standing, although the weight does add stability when sitting. I have one on one of my modern erhus.

Dear Willy, I had the same problem when first learning (reported somewhere on this forum). In time it goes away by itself.
I used to find the instrument tends to turn on its vertical axis so that the bow hairs rub against the stem. The reason is simply that your finger joints are not yet sufficiently supple. When you have played a while your fingers will wrap further around the strings; this will both help get steady fingering in very high octaves and also stop the instrument rotating.
