Am I missing a "For Sale" section somewhere on the forum?
Most music forums have a place to list items for sale. I may have some chinese instruments for sale soon and would want to know the proper way to list them, if possible.
Thank you

I have avoided a For Sale section due to the worry of spam and inappropriate posts. I also don't want to become entangled in deals gone wrong.
Some years ago, we had a bruhaha when some forum members posted complaints about some online vendors. I always encourage people to bring their concerns to the vendors directly. This is not the place to throw dirt. Such posts could put us at risk of getting kicked off Proboards, if a vendor complains. Besides, I don't like just airing one side of an argument. Actually, I don't want to air an argument at all, unless it is a civil one about Chinese music.
I browsed the Proboards terms for use, but could not find anything forbidding a For Sale section. I have set up a For Sale board on the Activities section. We will try this out and see how it goes. I prefer that the For Sale section be open only to active and participating members. I have not come up with a minimum post limit, but we will see what happens. One post listing merchandise for sale is not enough. For members participating in the For Sale section, please do your own due diligence. Let the buyer beware. etc.
In the past, people have joined the forum, posted a commercial advertisement for products, and then vanished. This forum is not for them. I will most likely delete such For Sale posts.
Best wishes,
David

I've bought second-hand guitars (from another music forum) but have never sold. Mainly this is because I can't be bothered and at the price they're willing to pay, I'm not willing to sell.
I've got two fine erhus I wouldn't mind re-homing but the hassle of CITES prevents this. I always recommend Eason to those looking for an erhu.
In the past I've sent at my own expense excess instruments to new forum members but as expected don't hear from them again. I've also had requests via pm for free Skype lessons. After one bad experience I vowed never again. I've come to the conclusion that what is free has no value.
