Pachelbel's Canon does not sit conveniently within the D/A erhu range. You can either fiddle with the sections that go too low, play on a zhonghu, or on an erhu with erquan strings, or transpose up to the key of G.
Best wishes,
David

Eugene, what about the score you found sounds weird to you? I read through the score, and it looks good.
Best wishes,
David

I'm trying to build up a repertoire to busk on my day off whilst working in Mykonos later this month. The above score looks very short; is that all there is?

Hi Eugen Canon exercises that I have used over the years never seem to have a regularity like a tune or song.. I used them on my guitar , violin, and pedal steel.. This was 50 years ago or more. Started playing at age 13.. They are sort of like practicing scales but only all over the place that makes no sense.. but that's the idea of it all, or some of it. I found for me it really helped to build dexterity and speed. Not necessarily in that order. It is a great tool... But sound weird.. Yes they do.. Just the way it is. Johnne
