Hi guys! I was searching on the internet for a Zhonghu to add to my instruments and came across a "3 in 1" erhu. I read the description but I'm still confused, could someone explain? Do they mean that the erhu can hit all ranges? I left a link to it below. www.ecoerhu.com/Erquan-Erhu-p/ht8eq.htm

Hi Vanessa,
The idea is to make an erhu where the stick is long enough to cover the maximum range of the three instruments. Then the qianjin ( that tied up string thing that serves as the top "nut") can be slid up and down the stick to the appropriate position for tuning. Since the [playing] strings have different diameters for the three instruments, you would need these three string sets also (very small investment).
Regards, paul...
