Hi Ian
I know of someone who wishes to sell one of his pipas, he has two and wishes to upgrade. I don't know anything about pipas: one is a beginner's and the other is professional quality bought from Redmusicshop. Where are you in the world?

I am currently in Germany. I'm interested in the professional one. But do you have more details about this pipa, for example, from which brand, the price, the quality of the sound et al.?

Ian, I doubt my friend would post to Germany, I'll ask him though it may take a while. It was bought from Redmusicshop. I've used Hongyueqi (RMS) to get me items which weren't listed at the time and my gaohu and my friend's pipa were amongst the many items I bought from him. Hongyueqi is totally trustworthy. The review of the pipa is on his website. www.redmusicshop.com/Pipa/Xinghai%20concert%20grade%20rosewood%20Pipa,Chinese%20Pipa%20lute It's the $820 one.

Hi Ed, it would be nice if your friend is willing to spare his with a reasonable price. I don't want to buy Pipa online, not because I don't trust it, just because I'm afraid I would have to pay additional around 20% of the total price again for the duty and tax in Germany. But thank you for your recommendation.

I've just bought a 1972 Brazilian rosewood classical guitar from Canada. Postage, CITES UK Import Permit and tax was eye-wateringly high. I'm used to buying musical instruments from the Far East and on all occasions the vendors were willing to declare a lower price for customs.
Whilst my friend wishes to upgrade his pipa, knowing him he would not be bothered to post abroad. I wouldn't.
Best wishes
Ed

Hi Ian, I am the owner of Eason Music Store. You can consider our Pipas as well. www.easonmusicstore.com/categories/Pipa/15We usually declare a lower value in case you get taxed and I'll be personally accountable should there be any issues. Thanks! SW
