Ok, this is really cool. So this Siamese Classical Music group called Fong Naam has these group of songs called "The Language Suite", where they play other culture's songs on Thai instruments, and they happen to have made a song called "The Chinese Language". It's based off of Chinese Opera music, and uses 3 Thai instruments. The Khim, which came from the Yangqin played by Chinese immigrants, the Saw Duang, which is the Thai version of the Erhu, and the Khlui flute, which doesn't derrive from the Dizi, as it's a duct flute, but it once had a membrane like a Dizi. Though this song is great, I think they could've done more with it. Like, for example, use a Pi Java in the place of what would be the Suona in Chinese Opera. Or perhaps make use of the Seung lute, which is similar to the Pipa in some ways. Anyways, tell me what you think abut the song. Link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJfN8H1nHUI
