Is there no tradition of recording in China? Has anyone else noticed how much better the music on YouTube is than can be obtained on CDs, even the more obscure ones bought on eBay? I am talking mostly of ErHu music, because that is what I know best.
I should like to obtain recordings of the very best musicians - so far I have a collection that is only mediocre, at best. Is it perhaps only available on Chinese web sites that I cannot access, not speaking the language?
