Wow. The big bird with the horizontal pipa (as they used to play them that way in the Tang) is using a paddle to strike it. Love the image of the girl with the sheng too on the left (for the viewer). The xiao playing girl has the shortest looking xiao and the guzheng looks like a much more compact one than we're used to these days. The ones opposite the musicians really look like they're piggin' it One thing confuses me: the description is of a "Picture of A Palace Concert by a Yüan [AD 1279-1368] Artist." but the picture's stylistics are dated to the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907). If that is so, then this is truly a piece of art, well before its time. About four hundred years before its time lol.
