Lately we have seen more SPAM postings on the forum from people who join just to post ads about products and topics that are off-topic. I have seen forum boards destroyed by such SPAM, so I try to be quick to delete obviously inappropriate posts. Other posts can be on the line, and I might not be as quick to delete those. I really don't want to overreact. Please flag posts that you find objectionable, and Charlie or I will take a look.
Be sure to take care when clicking on links in forum posts, especially when the poster is new. Sometimes posts are not merely off-topic, but embedded URLs can be infected with malware.

This morning, there was another spam attack on this forum. I was notified by a member (thanks, Allen!), and was able to clean up the mess and block the spammer. It's worth repeating this post from 2011:
