Hello, Firstly, I apologize if this posting against forum rules. I can only see this: starvoid.proboards.com/thread/829/welcome-forum-rules-regulations so hopefully it's OK. I am getting married in Bexley at the end of July 2016 and would like to ask for any information about how to go about hiring a Guzheng player who's based in London/South East. I would like somebody who can get to the venue with a Guzheng and play for the guests arriving to the venue and also when the ceremony is finished and we're doing the photography session and drinks before the wedding breakfast. Weather permitting, you will also be asked to play in the private outdoor courtyard. It will be roughly 3 hours in total of playing between 12:00-3:30. You will also get a free meal at the end and given free soft drinks. Depending on experience, the price will be £200-£350 and we can discuss exact timings etc. The one thing I would like to ask however, is for me and my fiancée to meet you face to face and see you play live before agreeing to the hire. We're quite flexible so can visit you at a time and place that best suits you. I also appreciate if anybody has any recommendations regarding Guzheng players (students or professionals). Please reply to this thread and I will private message you my contact details. Many thanks!

Hi Martin and welcome.
It's a great and novel idea to have a guzheng player at your wedding reception. If you go on the guzheng section of this forum you'll find a thread by Qing Du. I believe she lives in the Docklands area.
If she doesn't answer your calls/emails I'll get her personal contact details from my teacher who lives in Erith, not far from you.
Best wishes,
Ed

Hello pshamack,
When posting a new topic, it is best not to quote an unrelated post. You will get more attention by creating a new thread.
This is not the best place for finding professional musicians available for touring. We are mostly amateurs and students. You might check relevant pages on Facebook, or contact music stores in areas you plan to tour.
Best wishes,
David

Hello David, Ok, thank you for your response. I'm a little confused because I usually cooperate with musicians from Asia - now I need to find Asian musicians playing on traditional Asian instruments in Europe - it is really hard. Best regards Przemek
