6-hole vs 7-hole Dongxiao - last hole fingering

Just wondering, is the last hole on a 6-hole Dongxiao
typically reachable with the ring finger?

On my 7-hole xiao, the last hole is played, of course,
with the pinky finger, and the hole is offset.  Easy to reach.

On 6-hole Dongxiao, it appears the holes are all in line.
So is that last hole a stretch?

Yes, normally it is normally covered with the ring finger. The stretch is similar to the stretch with low whistle.
