Hi Wonda and welcome,
What price range are you looking at? I know a friend who has two, but also knowing him he's unlikely to sell.

Hi, I am a Guzheng learner as well. I want to buy a Guzheng in the UK, too. So I was just wondering how much you friend would like to sell her Guzheng? Thanks. My ideal price is under 150 pounds without postage fee, or 180 pounds pounds with postage fee. As I am a student so I cannot afford a lot on it. Please if you have any suggestion, let me know. many thanks.

Welcome to the forum, Iminminm. I don't have any suggestions for purchasing a guzheng in the UK, but I wish you luck. I ask though that you not cross-post. It is enough to post one copy of your message. I assure you that it will be read.
Best wishes,
David

When I buy second hand instruments I aim for a half to two thirds of the original price Have you tried contacting a guzheng teacher here in the UK as he/she may either have a used one or know of students who have given up. Google Dr Cheng Yu of the UK Chinese ensemble for contact details. Ed

I went to visit my friend (and so it seems did someone else!) and his guzheng which he carried on his back all the way from HK cost the equivalent of GBP 1000. However £150 for a second hand beginner's model isn't too unreasonable.
